This is probably the first time in
history that I’m not particularly looking forward to shopping for fall. Yes, I know that fall fashion is the most
anticipated, but I’m still holding on to my summer style—maxi dresses and knee
length dresses in vibrant colours—I can’t give it up. #Iliveforsummer.
Although I’m not ready for fall just yet, there
are a few #fall2013trends that I would trade in my summer dresses for.
Here’s my short list of trendy fall must
haves.
Grunge
I wore grunge clothing in the 90s and
believe it or not, I can’t wait to grunge it up 2013 style! I love rocking that disheveled mismatched
look. Note to self, must get ripped
jeans and a toque!
Plaid
When I think of plaid, I think of my itchy
uniform I had to wear in high school, which inevitably makes me think of the
first day of school, which makes me think of fall. Plaid = fall.
Boots
I look forward to this chilly season so
that I can strut my stuff in boots.
Short booties or tall boots—it doesn’t matter. As long as they look
great with skinny jeans or a girlish dress, I’m good.
Emerald Green
Green isn’t typically seen in autumn
(maybe olive or khaki colours), but I am more than willing to wear this robust hue
this fall. I have been wearing mustard
yellow, bright fuchsia and every shade of blue all summer, so I'm glad I don't have to stop my colour explosion.
I’ve been thinking about buying a
leather jacket ever since not one but two of my coworkers told me
that they scored a badass leather jacket at Danier. I need one too!! This tops my list of must-have item for #fall
2013
What are some of your fave trends for Fall 2013?
